Turmeric is also known to have similar benefits, as well as being an immunity booster.

Prep time: 20 minutes

Cook time: 15 minutes

Servings: 30 cookies

🥥Ingredients of Homemade Dog Dental Treats

-⅓ cup plain yogurt

-1 egg, slightly beaten (optional)

-3 tbsp coconut oil, softened (optional)

-⅓ cup chicken broth, divided in two

-⅓ cup chopped fresh mint

-¼ cup chopped fresh parsley

-1 cup chickpea flour, divided in two

-½ cup oats

-1 tsp ground turmeric

🍪Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pour yogurt, egg, and coconut oil into a medium-sized bowl and mash them together. Mix in ½ of the chicken broth, mint, and parsley. Add ½ of the chickpea flour, oats, and turmeric and mix until well combined.
  3. Mix in the remaining broth, and then the remaining chickpea flour. Knead the mixture until it is well incorporated. You can now either use a cookie cutter to cut out your cookie shapes or pipe into sticks on the parchment paper (you can cut the corner out of a resealable plastic ziplock and use this like a piping bag).
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15-20 minutes, until crunchy.

Note - you can substitute water for broth, but be sure to add something for flavour such as a topper, peanut butter, or some meat. You can also substitute 4 tsp dried parsley.
