As the temperatures start to rise, it’s important to find ways to help your pup stay cool. This can be as simple as taking walks early or late in the day when it’s a bit cooler, spending time playing in water, or even giving your bud a cool treat! Here’s a favourite simple dog pupsicle recipes recipe of ours to keep your dog feeling cool even on the hottest days!

🥜Peanut Butter Banana Dog Pupsicle Recipes

Ingredients

-32 oz low-fat plain yogurt (can use Greek yogurt if you prefer)

-2 bananas, mashed

-½ cup peanut butter (we like to use natural, but any kind will work as long as there is no xylitol in it)

-2 tbsp honey

-1 oz blueberries, chopped

-healthybud’s banana crisps (optional)

🐕Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together your mashed bananas, peanut butter, and honey.
  2. Add in the yogurt and mix until well blended.
  3. You can use silicone molds, or an ice cube tray, or small freezer-safe or paper cups for this part. Put your chopped blueberries in the bottom of your molds.
  4. Spoon in your yogurt mixture on top of the blueberries and put in the freezer for about an hour so that they are partially frozen.
  5. Add a banana crisp into the centre of your pupsicle to act as a stick, and place back in the freezer for 2 hours until completely frozen.
  6. Let your pup enjoy this tasty treat!

🥩Beef Dog Pupsicle Recipes

If your pup prefers meat to fruit-based snacks, you can easily change up this recipe to suit his or her taste buds!

Ingredients

-1 cup low-fat plain yogurt (can use Greek yogurt if you prefer)

-½ cup beef broth (low sodium is best)

-healthybud’s beef lung treats (optional)

Use the same steps as above, mixing together the broth and yogurt. You can crumble some beef lung treats into the bottom of your molds in place of the blueberries. Allow the treats to partially freeze for about an hour, and then add a piece of beef lung to act as the stick. Place back in the freezer until completely frozen, about 2 hours.
